Tert butyl peroxy2-ethylhexyl carbonate, commonly known as TBEC
Product introduction
2-ethylhexyl peroxide tert-butyl carbonate, commonly known as TBEC
CAS NO:
34443-12-4
Introduction: TBEC is a colorless and transparent liquid, mainly used as an initiator for the polymerization and copolymerization of ethylene, styrene, butadiene, acrylate and methacrylate. The main purpose:
(1) Polymerization of styrene: TBEC can be used in the polymerization reaction of styrene and styrene copolymer, and the polymerization reaction temperature ranges from 100 to 130°C. In bulk polymerization, TBEC is beneficial to increase the reaction rate. In the aqueous suspension polymerization process, the use of TBEC can reduce the residual amount of styrene monomer in the final stage of the reaction.
(2) Polymerization of acrylate and methacrylate: TBEC can be used for the polymerization of acrylate or methacrylate, and the polymerization temperature is 100-170°C.
(3) Curing of thermosetting resin: TBEC can be used for curing aliphatic unsaturated polyester at high temperature. It is the preferred curing agent (SMC, BMC, ZMC, etc.) for UP resin hot compression molding process. The temperature range is 120-170 °C, and the product has good tolerance, safety and environmental protection.
